About Party Renaissance
Party Renaissance represents a rebirth of democracy, a revival of power to the people, and a commitment to building a renewed sustainable world. We believe in true democracy; a government of the people, for the people, and by the people. Party Renaissance will reanalyze the democratic system, justice system, and economic system to reallocate power from government and corporations to citizens, and to restructure our relationship to the natural world. On the world stage, Party Renaissance believes that a world in which all countries are strong is a world that works best. We will explore ways to aid developing countries in economic and social growth to build new, equal, and beneficial relationships.
Domestic Policy Overview
In the modern United States, democracy has been forfeited for corporate interest. The well-being of the people is bought and sold for profit, the government protects lobbies over lives, and political and economic institutions perpetuate inequality, while silencing the voices of the very people it is meant to represent. The United States has lost sight of the community that holds us together.

OUR DEMOCRATIC REFORM PLAN:
Why hasn’t any significant climate legislation been passed in the US to stop climate change and protect our future?
Why hasn’t any significant gun regulation been passed despite pleas from terrified students and grieving parents all over the country?
Why is abortion being banned all over the country despite the fact that most people want protected reproductive freedom?
Why has there been almost no police or justice reforms despite black Americans being continuously killed in the streets?
It’s because our current political system is a barrier to progress. Corporate lobbies, campaign donations, and money in politics prevent real progress or change within our system. YOUR VOICES AREN’T BEING HEARD. Party Renaissance is addressing this problem with our plan for increased democracy through Sortition and Citizens Assemblies.
WHAT IS SORTITION? WHAT ARE CITIZENS ASSEMBLIES?
Sortition is a model of participatory democracy where citizens are chosen randomly, by lottery, to serve in the country’s main legislative body, the Citizens Assembly. This empowers ordinary people, like you, to directly influence and implement policy which you think will better serve your fellow citizens, instead of politicians being influenced by party affiliations, campaign donors, corporate lobbies, and corruption.
Party Renaissance will give every single citizen the equal chance to have their voice heard in government, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, identity, or socioeconomic status.
1 Party Renaissance will strive to greatly increase political participation of the people. Every individual will have an equal say in the policies that affect us all. Real political progress starts at the ground, with the movement of people and communities. By empowering neighborhoods and local governments to have real influence over their programs and policies, we will foster autonomous communities and place power back in the hands of the people, on both a local and national level. Education is a top priority for Party Renaissance. An educated population is a population capable of representing themselves and participating effectively in politics. Schools and universities will be given the resources to offer free and equal preparation to all students for the making of a life of well-informed political participation.

2 Party Renaissance will focus on implementing a justice system that serves all. The current U.S. criminal justice system is derived from slavery and mass incarceration, and has built a cycle of unfair treatment of underprivileged socioeconomic and racially marginalized groups. Instead of backing a system that enforces systematic discrimination, Party Renaissance will promote real solutions, equality, and rehabilitation through a model of restorative justice. Not only will this mitigate the effects of the school-to prison pipeline and the racial imbalance of the current system, it will promote community healing, give victims a voice in constructive sentencing, and target crime at its source.

3 Party Renaissance will renew the values of the Enlightenment by applying deep scientific exploration, new technology, and an understanding of the natural world to build sustainable systems and fight climate change. Despite corporate greed and the fear of progress competing against our world, the path towards a green and viable future is clear, and Party Renaissance will boldly lead us down it. By promoting our ever-improving renewable energy sources, growing our models of sustainable agriculture around the world, and moving towards increased public transportation and sustainable city planning, we have the resources to build a country that works with, not against, our world’s natural processes and environments.
Foreign Policy Overview
The United States has fallen from what it once was. Looking into the future, Party Renaissance will focus on becoming a sustainable nation. Currently, the U.S. is filled with exploitation and excess - overconsumption has become an epidemic. The U.S. must help itself before it can help others. Throughout history, we have acted as "global police." The U.S. has flaunted its immense military power to coerce developing nations into carrying out its bidding. The U.S. exploited resources and workers, managed puppet governments, and squashed progressive revolutions and change. Essentially, the U.S. has engaged itself in modern colonialism. Party Renaissance recognizes this. We aim to end it.
At Party Renaissance, we believe that a world in which all countries are strong is a world that works best. We will explore ways to aid developing countries in economic and social growth to build new, equal, and beneficial relationships.
1 The first step to increase global collaboration is demilitarization. Party Renaissance will engage the U.S. in treaties that decrease military presence and activity around the globe and commit to a decrease in military spending.
2 Party Renaissance will focus on stopping labor outsourcing to foreign countries. We will support countries affected by our departure through micro-loans to stimulate their local economies. In addition, we will effectively invest in their economies, creating a symbiotic relationship.
3 Party Renaissance will make United States technology globally available through agreements and treaties to increase both other countries' economic power and the U.S.'s own resources and environmental development plans to increase sustainability in the face of climate change.
4 Party Renaissance will increase collaboration between countries based on fair trade and humanitarian aid. This will open a doorway for better communication and as a result, better relationships between the U.S. and other countries on the world stage.
5 Party Renaissance will channel the United States' global “correctional” energy into strengthening the United Nations' ability to reduce and resolve conflict between countries.
