Meet Party Renaissance
Party Chair
Amanda Miller | she/her
WHO IS AMANDA? | Amanda is an important member of Ambassadors Club, Penguin 2 Penguin, and Reading Buddies Club. In addition to being involved in UHS campus life, Amanda is varsity swim team captain. After high school, Amanda plans to be a college athlete (swim) and pursue a career in STEM.

GOALS | Amanda is motivated by social progression, youth issues, and women's rights. These are issues that have a global effect and are the foundation for world progress. As Party Renaissance Party Chair, Amanda will oversee policies which ensure the protection of these issues.

FUN FACT | Amanda's one true love in this world is bagels!
President
Makena Wheeler | she/her
WHO IS MAKENA? | Throughout her UHS career, Makena has been involved with Unidas Teen Activism & Philanthropy Group, Penguin 2 Penguin, SHPE, and Ecology Club. In addition, Makena plays a pivotal role in the Triathlon Club and cross country and track teams. After high school, she plans to earn a degree in aerospace engineering. In her free time, Makena explores the outdoors and works her way through jigsaw puzzles.

GOALS | As a woman and queer person, women's rights and LGBTQ+ rights are especially important to Makena. These topics have been the focus of much recent legislation, both in the US and on the world stage. As Party Renaissance President, Makena will focus on protecting marginalized individuals.

FUN FACT | Makena's house pets are all reptiles!
Vice President
Audrey Edwards | she/her
WHO IS AUDREY? | Audrey plays volleyball and participates in Ambassadors Club, Penguin 2 Penguin, and Girls Who Code at school. After high school, she plans to study mechanical engineering.
​
GOALS | Wage inequities and underrepresentation of minorities and women in traditionally male-dominated fields is an issue close to Audrey's heart. As a woman in STEM, she has felt these effects first hand. As Party Renaissance Vice President, she is motivated to empower women to become who they want and deserve to be without having to face discrimination.

FUN FACT | You can always find Audrey stirring some cookie batter or whipping up some other delicious baked goods!
Domestic Chair
Helene Saleska | she/her
WHO IS HELENE? | Helene is the co-founder of the Reproductive Rights Club, the social media manager for Primavera Dance, a writer for the UHS Perspective, and a member of Junior Statesmen of America. In addition, she organized the city-wide Walkout For Our Rights last year for reproductive freedom. After high school, Helene plans to study environmental science or international climate justice.

GOALS | Helene is motivated by criminal justice, climate change, and political reform. As Party Renaissance Domestic Policy Chair, Helene will introduce policies surrounding these topics.

FUN FACT | Helene lived in Paris during her freshman year of high school!
Foreign Chair
Atticus Smith | he/they
WHO IS ATTICUS? | Atticus is a member of Junior Statesmen of America and Philosophy Club. He enjoys spending time with friends and going to the gym. After high school, Atticus will be in college for either engineering or film acting!

GOALS | Atticus is motivated by the United States' long struggle with foreign policy. This struggle has led to countless tragedies. As Party Renaissance Foreign Policy Chair, Atticus will introduce solutions to this struggle and improve world relations.

FUN FACT | Atticus is not a Tucson native - He was born in Brooklyn, NY!
